SUNDAY GATHERings

At Joy Way, our Sunday gatherings are thoughtfully designed to bring us together in worship, community, and spiritual growth. Our day begins with a welcoming atmosphere as doors open at 10:00am, allowing time for everyone to arrive and settle in. The service officially starts at 10:30am, featuring a time of heartfelt worship led by our dedicated music team, followed by inspiring Scripture readings, corporate prayers, and a sermon grounded in biblical teaching.

Each gathering includes meaningful practices, such as confession, communion, and reflective moments, inviting us to encounter God’s presence deeply. For those unable to join in person, we livestream the service on YouTube beginning at 10:25am, so our online community can participate in real-time.

Whether you’re joining us in Bushwick or tuning in online, we’re excited to worship together, learn from God’s Word, and grow as a community.

Our Small Group Ministry is a space to connect deeply with others and grow in our walk with Christ. Together, we dive into the Bible, exploring its truth and wisdom to strengthen our faith and understanding of Jesus. These gatherings are about more than just study—they’re where we support each other, ask honest questions, and experience genuine community as we grow spiritually, personally, and relationally. This is where faith comes alive, and we’re excited to walk this journey together with you.

BAPTISM

Baptism is a sacred act instituted by our Lord Jesus, as He commanded in Matthew 28:18-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” Baptism is more than a symbol; it is a sign and seal of God’s promises to His covenant people. Through baptism, God graciously extends His promise to forgive our sins, adopt us into His family, renew us by the Holy Spirit, and one day raise us to eternal life.

In this sacrament, we are given a new identity as God’s people, united in covenant relationship with Him. The water of baptism visibly reminds us of Christ’s love, which cleanses, refreshes, and sustains us, as Jesus Christ is our Living Water. Through His death and resurrection, our old self is buried, and we are raised to a new life, looking forward to the new creation.

Baptism calls us to a life of love, trust, and obedience—to fully embrace God, forsake evil, and live as holy followers of Jesus. Even when we fall, baptism reminds us of God’s unchanging grace and mercy. It assures us that, in faith, all the promises of the Gospel are ours.
